Seniors

Seniors get involved in two key areas of the club – patrols and completion. The beach environment at down on Cable Beach is sensational with the highlight being Sunday morning competition.

Club competition is made up of points events, trophy events and annual club championships. There are a number of events which cadet and active senior members can compete in throughout the season including;

  1. Swim (competitive as well as a social swim)
  2. Beach Sprints and Flags
  3. Board
  4. Single and Double ski

The Points events are handicapped and are made up of weekly events which are detailed on the club calendar.  A full list and description of trophy events and championship events can be found in the club constitution.
All active senior members are encouraged to be involved in the weekly Sunday events. As part of being a patrolling member, fitness (including ocean swimming fitness) and lifesaving skills are essential to ensure you are ready when faced with any number of possible situations.
