Sunset Challenge: 10th - 12th July 2026

The Sunset Challenge is a major event on the Broome Surf Life Saving Club calendar.  Over the years it has become a favoured carnival in which competitors from all over Australia come to enjoy the mix of friendly competition and a visit to paradise. 

 

SAVE THE DATE - SUNSET CHALLENGE 10th, 11th and 12th of July 2026.

 

Activities to be contested will include all age groups from Nippers (Under 8 and above), Youth, Seniors and Masters across the many disciplines of Surf Life Saving. 

 

July in Broome is the peak of the tourist season so intending competitors and visitors are strongly encouraged to book early for flights and accommodation. We suggest you contact the Broome Visitor Centre.

 

Over the Sunset Challenge weekend, all participating clubs are asked to assist with the set-up and take down of competition areas.  All competitors must be a current active member of a Surf Life Saving club.

• Manual Registrations available Friday 11th July at the Broome SLSC Clubhouse

• Woodside Nippers $20.00 entry fee

• U14 - Masters $30.00 entry fee

• Competitors must be a current member of a Surf Life Saving Club
