Sunset Challenge

The Sunset Challenge is a major event on the Broome Surf Life Saving Club calendar.  Over the years it has become a favoured carnival in which competitors from all over Australia come to enjoy the mix of friendly competition and a visit to paradise.  The 2024 Sunset Carnival will be held on Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th July 2024.

 

Activities to be contested will include all age groups from Nippers (Under 8 and above), Youth, Seniors and Masters across the many disciplines of Surf Life Saving. 

 

July in Broome is the peak of the tourist season so intending competitors and visitors are strongly encouraged to book early for flights and accommodation. We suggest you contact the Broome Visitor Centre.

 

Over the Sunset Challenge weekend, all participating clubs are asked to assist with the set-up and take down of competition areas.  All competitors must be a current active member of a Surf Life Saving club.
