Welcome to Broome Surf Life Saving Club, we hope your time with us is enjoyable and that you reap many rewards through your involvement with this volunteer organisation which provides such a valuable community service. We believe that Surf Life Saving is for the whole family and the Broome Surf Club relies on your involvement and assistance. Surf Life Saving is all about enjoying the beach environment and being involved in one of the world’s most respected volunteer organisations that is dedicated to making enjoyment of the beach that much safer.

The Broome club focuses on active members being physically fit, learning teamwork and aquatic safety skills, competing in surf sports and helping make swimming and surfing a safer pastime. There are also many other roles in which you can be a valued member of the club.

We also have a strong social element to the club – enjoying the company of members and guests at a club that enjoys spectacular views of Cable Beach.

The Be Active Sunset Challenge July 10, 11 and 12

The Be Active Sunset Challenge 2009 is a major event on the Broome Surf Life Saving Club’s calendar. Over the years it has become a favoured carnival in which competitors from all over Australia can enjoy the mix of great, friendly competition and a visit to paradise itself.

The event will run over three days (July 10, 11 and 12). Activities to be contested will include all age groups including nippers, cadets, seniors and masters across many disciples of Surf Life Saving.

The Be Active Sunset Challenge 2009 will promote the Healthway message of good health, no smoking and strong participation.

The Be Active Sunset Challenge 2009 will also include a number of events open to the general public to encourage community involvement in the beach life and generate increased membership.

As well as competition of the beach, the Broome Club is also organising a great three days of fellowship and entertainment. There will be plenty of good food available at the club along with a fully licensed bar – all overlooking magnificent Cable Beach.
